My name is Jake, but I go by Arcaynn online. In real life I'm an incredibly attractive and rich god among men. Not really, I'm a big Italian-American college student with a loud voice and profoundly unkempt great looking hair. I wear shorts and sandals until as late in the fall as I can get away with, and I never wear hats.

A bit of the story of that name. It came from the online game EverQuest. My character's name was Baynn, and he was a wizard, which is an arcane caster. When it came time to choose a surname, my infinite creativity kicked in and I chose the oh so clever Arcaynn. I began to like the surname more than the forename, so I started using it on the internet. I find the name fitting for me, since it implies that what I am on the surface is not what is underneath; which sounds a lot more introspective and emo than I intended.

I go to the University of Akron, where I am majoring in Computer Science. It's not that bad of a school. I do not like Calculus; as I believe it was placed on this planet by aliens that were bent on preventing people from enjoying their college experience.

I have a somewhat odd sense of humor, that is based entirely on sarcasm. If I say something outlandish, I'm most likely exaggerating for comic effect. Feel free to not laugh.

I am utterly and hopelessly addicted to gadgets. I like to read about them all the time, and I follow gadget news reverently. I wish I had enough money to buy every new mobile device, game system, computer, and music player that I see, but that is very far from the truth. I also love computer software. I am a large fan of Microsoft technologies in particular. I hope to one day work at Microsoft, but who knows.

I love to play games on my Xbox 360, and use the gamertag Arcaynn on Xbox Live. I am not a big fan of competitive online gaming, but I love cooperative. I also listen to lots of music on my Zune. Make fun of the music I listen to if you like, it doesn't bother me; it just means I'm cooler than you.

Now for a little about the site. I built this site in Visual Web Developer 2005; but have moved on to Visual Studio 2008 Professional because it's shiny. coding it in C# and letting the designer take care of the HTML, mainly cause I'm lazy. I'm not a graphic designer so this is the best look I could come up with. I like it. I created all the flashy graphics with Microsoft Paint that comes with Windows Vista. It was free and has all the things I need in an image editor. The font is Bradley Hand ITC, if it doesn't look like the text in the buttons, then you don't have the right font file.
